i wanted the girls to feel likethey were walking into hello kitty's bakery, so the first thingi did was use the helium tank i got from party city to dress up theentryway with these amazing hello kitty balloons of all shapes andsizes. next i hung these adorable cutoutsin the doorway -- i thought the danglers would be ideal totransport the girls into the hello kitty kitchen. costumes and dress up party city had all these adorabletiaras to choose from. kim chose
the hello kitty beaded tiara andhad been wearing it all morning. as the girls arrived, kim gave eachof them their own tiara. instantly i had eight hello kitty bakingprincesses on my hands. (laughing)it was quite a site. party activities kim is always asking me to help outin the kitchen, so i told her she'd be my special hello kitty helper. i picked out these adorable hellokitty baking cups which made the cupcakes come alive even before wedecorated them!
i set up two sections one for icingand one for topping. the kids loved putting the icingon, andthe decorations really brought hello kitty into the fun... first they put the hello kittyicing decoration carefully in place, then added the sprinkles and the hello kitty fun picks were aperfect way to add that finishing touch -- and to sneak a taste oficing when no one was looking. room and table decorations i knew that transforming my diningroom into a hello kitty gala was
going to take some seriousimagination -- but party city actually made it really fun andeasy. my goal in this room was to make itoverflowing with hello kitty-ness. so this table cloth was exactly thestart i needed. these colorful banners andstreamers filled the room with fun hello kitty decorations. anything with hello kitty on it isa treasure for kim and her friends - and of course party city hadadorable hello kitty plates, cups, and napkins.
kim was so proud to present thecupcakes she and her friends worked so hard on. i'll be saving that photo for herwedding day. pinata as if hello kitty wasn't sweetenough, her pinata rained magical treats all over her biggest fans. the girls ooohhhed and awwwwed.they thought it was so cute. party favors if there's one thing a hello kittygirl likes, it's hello kitty swag!
they were so thrilled to takesomething home with them. i mean, after all, they'd eaten everythingthey'd made before. party city has the perfect thingfor kim's friends to remember this day forever. we know how muchlittle girls like having hello kitty all around! today was really special. i got tocombine the two things my daughter loves most: hello kitty andcelebrating her birthday. thank you, party city. we'll bebaking with you again next year. the end
