best graduation cap decoration ideas

hey guys, i as commissioned by a friend topaint her graduation cap and she wanted something like a disney castle. so i started sketching her castle with a whitegel pen and so i thought to myself i should probably be filming this and so there youhave it i filmed this process. i started painting using acrylic paints andi quickly noticed how much the cloth of the cap was absorbing the paint. you can see how quickly the color is gonespecially in this time lapse. i had to paint layers and layers to just getit right. after a while i started adjusting and startedto apply more paint to my brushes you can

start to see the difference around this point. now i’m going to paint the upper part ofthe castle by mixing these different colors to create this pinkish color which resemblesthe disney castle color. now this time i start off with a loaded brushto avoid the dilution of the color by the cloth. now something i shouldn’t have done waspainted these gold trimmings of the castle. i probably should have painted the blue rooftiles first, however it all worked out in the end. now i mix the paint for the blue roof of thecastle, i add some black and white to turn

down the dominance that pure blue would haveon this castle by its self. now with a smaller brush and different colorsi start to add more and more details such as the flags at the bottom and the windowframes in the center of the castle. by the way guys at the very very end of thevideo i show the cap completely finished with sparkly letters and other sparkly stuff thati didn’t actually work on in this video so i would stick around if you want to seethat. now to add some extra fine detail i bringback my white gel paint to show the blocks of the castle. i also start using my brush pen to show evenmore details, but also some shadows.
