the antelope sound is often described asclear yet warm and natural sounding, so when our team set out to design our firstreverb we knew it had to live up to that digital clarity and analog warmth philosophy.our own igor levin and some incredible mathematicians came up withthe new reverb algorithm and after a year of intense design work we took it to sometop audio engineers, including our friend brian vibberts. - i'm here making presetswith the new antelope reverb and i have to tell you, the sound of this reverb...the decay is very natural, unlike a lot of other plugin reverbs. it's a little bit more likea hardware reverb where the decay is... very clean all the way to the very last momentthat you hear it, so you get that "psssss"
very rich and smooth all the way to the end, which i love about this and i'm gonna' be making some different presets that have thatin there, both very long for some special effects, maybe some edm kind of style reverb effects, butalso some that can be used in rock and pop, country - all different kinds. along the way i've beenbeta-testing the reverb with the guys and have been giving them feedback and they've been respondingvery well, making some great changes. now i feel like i really have to beusing this reverb in my mixes. it provides some things...i have other reverbs like becassi hardware and some other plugin reverbs, but this isoffering some things that those don't. software controls
auraverb's color control allows you toadjust the overall tone of the reverb. on zero the space created is darker like alushly carpeted area. on a hundred the reverb is brightest, which can add somesizzle to a lead vocal for example. predelay is common on most reverbs andallows you to create a bit of space between the source and the onset ofreverb. this can allow the source sound to stand on its own a bit in a mix.having both early reflection and late reflection delay controls enable you totailor auraverb for different types of effects. increasing early reflections is great for thickening. late reflection delay creates spacebetween early and late reflections.
richness controls the complexity of thereverb envelopment. at zero the sound is light or airy... and at higher settings the sound is thickand quite dense and rich. reverb time controls the length of decay, while room size increases the virtual space dimensions and is indicated in meters. the input for auraverb is assigned to send controlson the mixer's individual channels while there's a convenient output trimon the reverb's control panel. i've been using antelope audio for years now with their clocking, the conversion and recently withthe micpres and it's really exciting to me
with the dsp technology and innovationfrom antelope, it's completely living up to everything that i've always expected from them and you're going to love this reverb.
