dining room track lighting
my name is brent shelly with expert villageand we are talking about lighting design today. another typical residential space is the diningroom. we have some specific visual tasks here. we are obviously going to need to eat in thedining room. we are also going to be able to communicate. we want to be able to talkto the person across the table from you and this is a place where a lot of people liketo hang out after a meal and they have an extended stay. so we want to be able to changethe lighting levels through out lighting controls and our different layers we talked about tobe able to create that after dinner mood. typically the dining room will join the familyroom or the foyer. you want to keep in mind that when you are sitting somewhere for along period of time, you want to be able to
have some relief for the eye. a good way todo that is to have adjoining rooms and some of those lights in adjoining rooms whetherit be lighting the art in those rooms or some soft lights. you definitely don't want tohave all the other lights off because you don't want to feel like you are in a cave.you want to be able to look up once in a while and see something else in the adjoining roomto rest your eyes.
