this park is full of dogs. the best part is, you can drink in public here. not just at the park, but all throughout the city. we might have to come back for a picnic tomorrow. this morning we are heading into savannah. to actually go to a place called mrs. wilkes. and we are really excited about this. we've heard about this place from a lot of people. so we can't wait to check it out.

we've been in line for one hour. it's cold this morning in savannah. but we are almost there. they just opened the doors and hopefully we'll get seated soon. we just finished having lunch at mrs. wilkes. we woke up super early this morning and waited over an hour in line to be able to eat here. everyone recommended the place.

it's $22 with tax and it comes with sweet tea a whole table of food and dessert. we thought it was pretty disappointing. this is probably one of the most disappointing meals we've had since we hit the road. you kind of figure, if there are all these people waiting in line it must be good. so here is the problem. you wait in line for over an hour.

there are people wrapped around the block to get into mrs. wilkes. but the food isn't that good. i mean there are a couple things that like the fried chicken was okay. publix actually has better fried chicken. a few of the sides were good. but nothing was really great. nothing stood out to you and nothing

was one of those things like you leave and that's all you can think about. this was just a total disappointment. if you want the experience, i'd say go. no way it was worth $22 a person. or the wait in line. i would try some other place. we're down along the riverfront in savannah.

we've been walking around the city kind of popping around in different spots. if you do come into town make sure you bring lots of quarters. all the parking spaces are pretty much all metered. they only take quarters, no credit cards or anything. but it's beautiful around here. highly suggest it. it's fun to just walk and spend the day.
