texture is my secret weapon. it adds dimension and warmth to my beautiful white dinnerware that i use every day. today, i'm starting here with a burlap runner, which i've placed width-wise on my table, but you can definitely place it length-wise if you're serving more guests. then i added a rope placemat for each guest, and then for a wow factor, instead of doing a centerpiece, give each guest their own centerpiece that they can take home, and it's a great way for them to start their own collection of white dinnerware.

lastly, a hemstitch linen napkin completes the look and you've got a beautiful place setting.
