hi, i'm michelle, a designer here at my lifegreetings, and today we're going to be talking about tablescapes. there are somany unique things you can do to make your wedding reception tablescape and decorreally reflect the theme of your wedding, your style and your personalities as acouple. this tablescape is perfect for anyone having an outdoor, rustic, barn, or farm wedding. we chose a galvanized steel milk can filled with tiny white wildflowers as a centerpiece, to give this tablescape a really rustic, casual look. to keep this casual farm fresh feeling going we mixed a fern green and white gingham menu card with a fern green and white dotted napkin.

we also used a miniature glassbottle in lieu of a traditional water glass. if you're giving away favors atyour wedding, jams, jellies, and honey, like we have here, are great options that really complete this rustic theme. if you love typography as much as i do or are having a black and white wedding, here's a tablescape that might strike your fancy. here we used bright whitedinner plates paired with a black, circular menu card that sits perfectly on top of your salad plate. we displayed the night's transportation information in this standard-sized, matte black frame. we filled jars up with york peppermintpatties, wrapped black and white baker's

twine around the lids, and included apersonalized favor tag as well. lastly, my absolute favorite part of thistablescape is the giant, lit-up ampersand that is being used as the table name.you can buy these in different letters, numbers depending on how many different tables you have at your wedding. this beautiful tablescape is perfect for anelegant fall wedding. here we used a light, neutral colored linen, and paired it witha bold, red napkin, which coordinates beautifully with the couple's colorpalette. to add a little bit of glam we included gold chargers underneath eachdinner plate to really make each place

setting stand out. lastly in order to tiein some additional color we spray painted a pumpkin with gold paint, cut outthe top, and then filled it with some bold, deep red florals. a bold black and gold color palette isperfect if you're having a 1920s, art deco themed wedding. inthis tablescape we chose a light, champagne colored tablecloth. from there we started building our place setting with a couple simple white dishes. butthen we added a bread dish with a beautiful, shiny, gold, art deco design. wealso incorporated some really interesting triangular gold place cardand menu card holders that scream art deco.

this is the ultimate do-it-yourself, vintage, bohemian or garden weddingtablescape. i love this look because there really is no wrong or right way topresent each setting. most tablescapes use the same matching dishes, the samematch linens, and the same matching color palette. in this case we've brokenall those rules and really had fun mixing and matching colors and patterns.we chose to use some vintage dishware and glassware in various styles, colors, shapes, and sizes. the colors really play off each other beautifully. we even introduce a hammered copper coffee mug,

some brightly patterned napkins, andvintage blue mason jars. this tablescape works with so many stationary styles as well, like this delicate lace design, or these hand drawn vintage florals. for more tips and ideas for your wedding, visit mylifegreatings.com and check out our blog. thanks for watching.
