i'm standing here on what i think is a lovelystairway. the color combination here works beautifullywith the new gray... the popularity of gray walls and gray accents. this is a very dark, ebony stain on the newelpost and on the handrail, and then the spindles are painted bright white to match the trim. this is fairly traditional, but it also lendsitself to the new transitional and modern looks that we have. in the past few years we've seen lots andlots of very ornate iron railings that go well with the tuscan look, but the tuscanlook is a little bit on its way out, so this
is emerging as a very popular new trend.
