floral arrangements throughout the home. i loved this one from pier one but it was$50 and i knew i could make my own for way less. i like how this arrangement is simple andelegant and has the burlap trim at the top of the vase. the white flowers will go with home decorof any color. it isn’t too large so it could be pairedas part of a tablescape or just used on a smaller table. i’m doing this video as part of a collabwith the latina next door and domer home.
there will be a bunch of other videos showingyou how to make a home decor item for less money than the original, so make sure to checkout the playlist that i will link in the description box below! // supplies you will needlet’s get started with what you will need to recreate your own pier one copycat flowerarrangement. i got these roses, zinnias and the mixed bouquetat dollar tree. i got the mixed bouquet because of the fernlike stems it had and for the ivy looking leaves that mirrored the ones in the pierone version. i love dollar tree florals, they are greatquality for the price.
dollar tree also had this burlap ribbon thati use to trim the top of the square vase. this floral moss also came from dollar treeand i was a little disappointed that they were out of the moss rocks i had seen a fewweeks ago, but you will see how i made it work. you will also need a square vase. i already had this one, but i did see squarevases at dollar tree. lastly you will need scissors, wire cuttersand a glue gun. that’s it! // add burlap ribbon to vasefirst you will want to measure out the burlap
ribbon. i cut mine in half because i only needed aboutan inch at the top. i used a glue gun on the corners of the vaseto stick the ribbon down. the ribbon was a little messy so i trimmedany rough edges. // add moss vase fillernow the version from pier one had round moss rocks. i had seen these at dollar tree and wish ihad picked some up before they ran out, but your dollar tree might still have them instock. so i had to improvise and i just squeezedthe moss in my hand to make each little moss
rock. it was very messy and there was some weirdpowder that came out as i worked with it. but i think you get the same effect as theone from pier one. of course i had to clean this up before icould continue. do you guys have to clean up half way througha project so the mess doesn’t drive you crazy? // add floralsthe final step is to add the florals. dollar tree does not skimp on what they giveyou for 1 dollar. i had plenty of stems to choose from and triedto pick the fullest florals and arranged them
to closely resemble the pier one version. they easily stuck into the moss we had alreadyput into the vase. oh, there was one more step! and that’sto clean up. this was a messy project mainly because ofthat powder all over the moss. so i just tidied up with some wood polishand then a vacuum because yes it even managed to get all over the floor even though i wasbeing careful! so let’s take a look at the comparison betweenmy floral arrangement and theirs. what do you think? is mine better?
